Black Metal. The true one

Hey there guys! Yesterday i was home, at the pc, and it was rainning the hell out in the street. So I took some minutes to watch something that i really wanted to watch for some time. It's a documentary named True Norwegian Black Metal. It goes deep into the heart of Norway to interview one man who's heart is nothing but a black hole. I'm talking about Gaahl, frontman of the black metal band Gorgoroth.

I'm in the music world, because of several things, but mainly because I love my instrument, and with the goal of becoming the greatest guitar player i can be. To be a good musician and a good composer.
When it comes to extreme black metal, like Gorgoroth, you don't care about the music. All you want to do is to deliver a message. To spread your ideals.

Watch this documentary to the end, divided into 5 parts

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

Part 5

Cheers every

  1. Hey man how are ya?
I think I've told you before, I enjoy reading your blog, you always have some cool stuff for people to check out. Anyway, I read this last entry about the documentary. I must say it I didn't watch it here, in fact I've watched it a few years ago. I believe it's something very fragile to talk about, because there are a lot of "true" black metal heads that may jump with a spiked club on their hands ready to kill the "infidels" as a way of saying: "allow me to disagree". I was in fact shocked to see that for those people OUR beloved music is but a means to an end, which is spread blackness, negativism, and evil. I've never understood why someone on their right mind would ever want to do that. I mean think about this for a second. There are a LOT of spoilled little bratts that live in our werstern world who say fuck god, hail satan, I wanna spread darkness and live under satan's rule... blah blah, such as those guys from Norway. But they know NOTHING of hell or of evil. They say they wage war... Ain't it easy to say that when they live in a country that lives in peace and it's people are mostly civilized and peaceful? OR when one is a teenager and knows that in chase of "war" there are people meant to die for them?
I sure would like to see those guys from Gorgoroth living in Iraq, on Afghanistan, or on Tchetcheny, heh even in the heart of Africa. When people die all around them, when the blood of inocents stain the snow, when the wickedness of men is all they know, I'm sure they wouldn't crave for evil.
Those people are the shame of everyone like us who love music. Like a very wise man once said concerning the effect and the message that some bands may put on their music: I'd rather be happy than mad or pissed.

Hehe, well allow me to finish with this frase:
Lucifer sounds like a cat's name. For some people he's the devil, for me it's a pussy.

    Keep rocking!
